Hello, everyone! I’m Zhou, and today I’m excited to share my journey to Changzhou Spring City. This was a delightful trip for us all. On our national day, we set off for Changzhou Spring City, it being my first visit. Anticipation filled me for a long time, as my dream was about to unfold. After a journey of one and a half hours, we were greeted by the sight of numerous ancient buildings, which were quite charming. The most captivating spot was the zoo, where we encountered a myriad of creatures, such as tigers, elephants, zebras, and monkeys. The latter were my favorites, being our good companions. Next, we made a stop at the children's playground, which was a haven for children like us. We played joyfully together, and finally, we watched a thrilling 4D movie. The passage of time was swift, and it was time to bid farewell to everything. This trip was indeed a pleasant experience for us all. Thank you!

My favorite animal is the tortoise, not because it walks slowly, but because of its cuteness. It features a short tail and four short legs, with a small head and a hard shell. In my pet collection, there are forty-five adorable tortoises that love to play in the garden. When they feel threatened by some creatures, they tend to run away swiftly. They enjoy eating, and I often buy small fish for them, which they catch first. They pretend to ignore the fish swimming near them, then swiftly bite and catch them. The fish are then their food. They prefer sleeping in the garden during the day, as they do not eat anything during this time. However, when they wake up, they come out of their hiding spots. Hence, we must provide water for them to drink.

I cherish the tortoise, yet I dislike the eagle, as it often preys on the tortoise with its sharp beak. My favorite animal is the tortoise, and that's all for my speech. Thank you!

A Good Boy

Little Robert asked his mother for two cents. "What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?"

"I gave it to a poor old woman," he answered.

"You're a good boy," said the mother proudly. "Here are two cents more. But why are you so interested in the old woman?" "She is the one who sells the candy."

Friend in Need Is a Friend Indeed

Jack and Ben are good friends. One day, they explore a forest together. When they go deep into the forest, suddenly they hear a sound. “What’s that? The sound is so terrible.” Ben says.

“Oh! Bear! Look! A bear!” Jack says and climbs quickly on a tall tree.

Ben tries to climb on the tree. But he can’t. “What can I do? Help me please! “Ben says to Jack. But Jack does nothing.

The bear is coming. Ben lies down quickly and pretends to die. The bear looks at Ben and walking around him. Ben holds his breath. The bear smells Ben and thinks he’s dying, and then the bear goes away.

When Jack sees the bear going far, he slides down from the tree and wakes Ben. “What did the Bear whisper to you?” Jack asks Ben.

“Why didn’t you help me? Have you not heard the sentence: A friend in need is a friend indeed?” Ben shouted.

ladies and gentlemen:

Good afternoon,

Today I would like to begin with a story. There was once a physical therapist who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a census about mountain gorillas. These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies.

Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Diana Fossey, who spent most of her lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.

To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.

This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it , it's all coming from a scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish.

Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. But on the other hand, many problems can occur - natural scenes aren't natural anymore. Deforestation to heat lodges are devastating Nepal. Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica. Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks.

All these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding our resources. Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.
