Above在……上方（高过另一个物体，不强调垂直）

Under在……下（正下方）

in front of 在外部的前面，两个东西是独立的，相反的是behind
The building is in front of the hospital.
The building is behind the hospital.
In the front of在内部的前面，属于其中的一部分，相反的是at the back of
The girl stands in the front of the classroom.
The girl stands at the back of the classroom.
