应用书信型作文指的是书信类的应用文，主要包括简历、广告、通知、道歉信、咨询信、投诉信、邀请信等。
作文提纲的形式一般有两种：
1、标题式提纲
这种提纲比较简单，只写出行文各段的标题。
这是一个标题式的作文提纲，勇简洁的文字标出了各段的写作要点。它的特点是文字简洁、速度较快，适合于对写作内容较熟悉或时间较紧的情况。但对初学写作的人来说，很难起到指导作文的作用。
2、要点式提纲

注意事项：
英语写作要求有一定量的词汇，没有词汇就好比巧妇无米难以下厨。写作时可能出现要写的词记不起来、要用的词拿不准、尤其是遇到同义词、更不知用哪一个好、或词性没记住，结果乱用。这都说明平时对单词的记忆不够牢固，理解不清。
